Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is well-known American actress. She has starred in a variety of TV and film shows, such as "Christy" which is a comedy about a teenage girl known as Christy Huddleston. Also, she is known for playing the title role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Born to a department store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin started her career in acting when she was just seven years old when her aunt who was the nanny of actor Michael Landon's kids, assisted her in landing an appearance in the 1982 show "Father Murphy.". When she graduated from Yale University she began to become serious about acting and landed roles on the small and large screen. Martin as well as being an accomplished dancer and actress, is also a successful ballet photographer. Since she is a mother of two children, she has been named the national spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has been spreading the word about Lupus since the time her younger sister died in the age of 19.
